At the Turangawaewae Festival I worked at the Kiwiana store.  I played on the bouncy castle with Josh , Jack and Harry. We have the Turangawaewae Festival  so we can celebrate cultures 

AWAROA

AWAROA TRIP 

Our syndicate is going to Awaroa . We are going on the Wilson's boat. Awaroa is a cool place.

The reasons we went we went on the trip was to learn about the history of Awaroa and get fit
The journey went from Kaiteriteri to Awaroa on the boat then we went on our walk to Quarry bay then back on the boat to Kaiteriteri
The highlights for me were going on the boat and the walk 
The benefits were for me was going on the walk

Yesterday the Duffy people came to the Huia club rooms.  The Craters were Scruffy, Duffy and the best book in the world he made a rap and it was cool.  But the show was awsome .

MY BOOK REPORT

TITLE THE LORAX

The lorax is about this guy wants to grow a tree because they don't have trees in there town.  He gets a seed from the onceler and grows a tree

BOOK WEEK

The Man

We have book week to encourage children to read books and to use the library.

During the week we did a Stop Drop and Read every day.  Other teachers came and read to us.

On parade day we all dressed up in our Book Character costumes and paraded around the town.

We thank Becky for organizing it for us.

RABBIT ISLAND

LAST WEEK ON FRIDAY SOME YEAR 7 AND 8'S GOT CHOSEN TO RABBIT ISLAND FOR RACERS AGAINST THE NELSON SCHOOLS.  IN THE YEAR 7 BOYS THERE WERE LOTS OF PEOPLE. THERE WERE LOTS OF STEEP HILLS AND LOGS TO CLIMB OVER.  AFTER MY RACE I WATCHED THE ATHER RACERS AND THEN WE CAME BACK TO SCHOOL

TREASURE ISLAND

This story starts in the Admiral Benbow, an inn.  Jim  Hawkins (played by Quin) works there.  Billy Bones (played by Shanti) comes to stay.  He has a map.  He was once a pirate, a member of Captain Flint's crew.  He is visited by Black Dog(Stevie )who fights him.  Then the evil Blind Pew (Sasha ) comes and scares him to death.

Jim gets the map.  He gets the Goodies, Dr Livesey (Charlie ),  Mr Dance (Shannen ) and they hire a ship called the Hispaniola.  The captain is Captain Smollett (Makayla ) who gets Long John Silver (Madison ) to collect a crew.  Long John Silver is evil and one of Captain Flint's pirates.  He collects all the other pirates and away they sail.

On the trip Jim  hears of a plot to kill them.  When they get to the island the Goodies go to the stockade.  The baddies go in search of the treasure.  An old pirate called Ben Gunn (Zion ) who has been marooned, arrives and joins the goodies .

Jim takes off and sails the ship around the island.  The pirates have nowhere to go.  There's a big fight.  The pirates are winning until they hear Ben Gunn who they think is a ghost of Captain Flint.  Ben screams horribly..

They all run away and the goodies find the treasure and sail back to England.

THE OLYMPICS

 THE OLYMPICS WAS IN LONDON. PEOPLE ATTEND ALL OVER THE WORLD. NEW ZEALAND'S PERFORMANCE WAS GOOD, THEY GOT 13 MEDALS. THE THING I LIKED WATCHING THE BEST WAS THE WEIGHT LIFTING  VIEW MEDAL TABLE

NEW BUILDING

IN THE MORNING WE HAD THE OPENING OF THE MULTI PURPOSE  ROOM. THE ROOM IS CALLED ANIWANIWA, IT MEANS RAINBOW. THE WHOLE SCHOOL GOT TO GO INSIDE AND LOOK. THERE WAS A TOILET AND A KITCHEN.  AT THE END WE ALL GOT A CHOCOLATE.
