Hello. My name is Katelin.
Main Characters:The main characters are Kanga, Roo and Winnie the Pooh.
My Chosen Character is Winnie the Pooh because he is really cute and has a soft spot for Honey and Roo.
During the week we have School staff come and read to us. We also do Book reviews about are favourite books and we also watch movies we watched Nims Island.
On Friday we have a parade where everyone can dress up as a Fairy or a Pirate.

Turangawaewae Festival
The Turangawaewae festival was awesome. Turangawaewae means our place it is also a time to celebrate all the cultures in our school. We have heaps of different cultures from Indian to Australian.
The thing I enjoyed the most was the Jump Jam,Bouncy castle and the Pony rides.
15/3/12 AWAROA
Awaroa is a great place to have a holiday. Tomorrow room 1 and room 2 are going to Awaroa. We are going by boat to get to Awaroa. When we get there we are going this old historic house (it's not the real one though). After we have been there we are going to walk to Tonga quarry. Once we get there were going to get picked up by the boat. It's going to be AWESOME!!

Awaroa recount 22/03/12
The reason we went to Awaroa for this trip was to learn about the history of Awaroa and William and Adele Hadfield and their many children.
The journey started at school were we got into our car groups then we got on the boat at Kaiteriteri. We got dropped off at Awaroa to look at Meadowbank then we started our walk. When we finished the walk we started swimming with the Jelly fish then the boat picked us up and then we came back home.
The highlight for me was the walking and swimming
The benefit for me was making new friends and the fitness.

Roo's New Baby-Sitter

Setting: Roo's house in the Hundred Acre wood
Plot: Roo is upset and angry because He isn't aloud to go shopping with his Mother.Winnie the Pooh has to baby sit Roo. Roo doesn't want to stay home but in the end he preferred to stay home.

TREASURE ISLAND
This story starts in the Admiral Benbow, an inn. Jim Hawkins (played by Quin) works there. Billy Bones (played by Shanti) comes to stay. He has a map. He was once a pirate, a member of Captain Flint's crew. He is visited by Black Dog(Stevie )who fights him. Then the evil Blind Pew (Sasha ) comes and scares him to death.
Jim gets the map. He gets the Goodies, Dr Livesey (Charlie ), Mr Dance (Shannen ) and they hire a ship called the Hispaniola. The captain is Captain Smollett (Makayla ) who gets Long John Silver (Madison ) to collect a crew. Long John Silver is evil and one of Captain Flint's pirates. He collects all the other pirates and away they sail.
On the trip Jim hears of a plot to kill them. When they get to the island the Goodies go to the stockade. The baddies go in search of the treasure. An old pirate called Ben Gunn (Zion ) who has been marooned, arrives and joins the goodies .
Jim takes off and sails the ship around the island. The pirates have nowhere to go. There's a big fight. The pirates are winning until they hear Ben Gunn who they think is a ghost of Captain Flint. Ben screams horribly..
They all run away and the goodies find the treasure and sail back to England.
My favourite part was when Long John got caught and was going to jail.
My favourite character was Sir Francis Duck because I played him and also he got to fight Long John Silver.

THE OLYMPICS
View Medal Table I enjoyed watching the Pingpong & rhythmic gymnastics. The Olympic games were held in London this year. They have held it 3 times before. New Zealand got their 100th Olympic medal. We got 13 medals, 6 Gold, 2 Silver & 5 Bronze. |
