My Toku Mahi post means My Work. This post will contain all my online work over the year. I hope you enjoy it.My name is Kylee I live with my brother and sister and my mum and dad.
I am 11 years old and my goal for the year is is to get better at sports and get faster at swimming.
I want to also want to improve in my netball. :}

TURANGAWAEWAE FESTIVAL
We have a Turangawaewae fesival so we can celebrate all the different cultures in our school. We also celebrate the multicultural festival so we can see what traditional clothing they wear in Fiji,Samoa or even India.

AWAROA TRIP
On Friday the 9th of March room 1 and 2 are going to Awaroa for a trip. We will start on the Wilson's boat. At Awaroa there will be old baches or old houses.

My Recount of Awaroa
The journey started at school and then we hopped in the car to go to Kaiteriteri. Here we went on to the Wilson's boat to Awaroa.
The reason we went on this trip to Awaroa is so we can learn about William and Adele Hadfield. we also went on this trip so we could learn about the history of Awaroa.
The highlights of the trip for me were just getting out of school and also looking through the house and the name of the house was called Meadow bank.
Last but not least is the benefits. the benefits for me were seeing the stingray.
My Weekend Recount.
On Saturday we went to Nana and Grandad's House and we had a cup of coffee there.
Then we went to the Warehouse to get me some sneakers for Netball and for the big walk to Awaroa.
After that mum and I went to pick Jordan up from Eva's House. On Sunday we went to video ezi
to get some movies and the movies were Footloose, Brides maids, a war movie for dad, and last but not least Hop and that is the story of my weekend.
My book review
Title:Ugly fish.
Age:It is suitable for any age.
Setting: ( where and when)
It is set in a fish tank with one fish
Plot: The owner went and got another fish but ugly fish did not like it so he ate the fish. The next day they went and got another fish for ugly fish to play with but he didn't want to play so he ate the fish.
They got another 2 fish for ugly fish to play with but he just ate them. They got a last fish but ugly fish wanted to play but shiney fish didn't want to so shiney fish ate ugly fish and that was the end of ugly fish.
Main characters: Ugly fish and shiney fish
My chosen character: Ugly fish is my favourite character because he eats all the other fish after he chases them around the tank for fun.
Why i chose the book: I chose this book because when i got it i loved it and read it every night.
My ratings for the book are a 7 out of 10.

We have book week to learn about reading.
During the week we read Nims island. Every day that week someone say over the loud speaker stop what you are doing and read for half half an hour so then everyone in the school even the office ladies stopped and read.
On Friday we had the whole school dressed up and then we went down town and some of the people from the shop keepers came out to see our cool coustums and after we went though town we went though the kindy and then back to school.

TREASURE ISLAND
This story starts in the Admiral Benbow, an inn. Jim Hawkins (played by Quin) works there. Billy Bones (played by Shanti) comes to stay. He has a map. He was once a pirate, a member of Captain Flint's crew. He is visited by Black Dog(Stevie )who fights him. Then the evil Blind Pew (Sasha ) comes and scares him to death.
Jim gets the map. He gets the Goodies, Dr Livesey (Charlie ), Mr Dance (Shannen ) and they hire a ship called the Hispaniola. The captain is Captain Smollett (Makayla ) who gets Long John Silver (Madison ) to collect a crew. Long John Silver is evil and one of Captain Flint's pirates. He collects all the other pirates and away they sail.
On the trip Jim hears of a plot to kill them. When they get to the island the Goodies go to the stockade. The baddies go in search of the treasure. An old pirate called Ben Gunn (Zion ) who has been marooned, arrives and joins the goodies .
Jim takes off and sails the ship around the island. The pirates have nowhere to go. There's a big fight. The pirates are winning until they hear Ben Gunn who they think is a ghost of Captain Flint. Ben screams horribly..
They all run away and the goodies find the treasure and sail back to England.
My favourite part was when billy bones stole the map from Captain Smollet then Jim stole it from Billy Bones then Long John Sliver stole it from Jim.
My favourite character was Mr arrow because Mr Arrow was drunk the hole time she was on stage and after the play Mr Arrow said call if you can and then nearly everybody laughed.
The show as a whole was awesome.

THE OLYMPICS
View Medal Table 
The Olympic games is in London and it has been hosted there three times. In the Olympic games I liked to watch swimming and the hundred sprint and New Zealand has won 6 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals. NEW BUILDING
On the 29 of October we went and opened the multipurpose room. when they were building the multipurpose room it took them half a year to build and they had to go by all the plans. I would like to thank the builders,the carpet people,Mr major,all the parents for coming,the concert people,and the whanau for the name and the pretty rainbow picture. When we were there the whole
school went into the multipurpose room and had a look round. In the multipurpose room the was a
kitchen and in the kitchen we are going to hand or caught being goods in and then we get a prize.
Also there was a little room where you can play,and the walls had carpet on them. There was a few
toilets and sinks, and another little room that you can play in to. The name of the multipurpose is Aniwaniwa and that means rainbow.
